Hey, Fed and Fab friends! Is anyone else having a hard time believing it’s already October?? I feel like the summer just flew by, and here we are, almost at Halloween. Luckily I LOVE Halloween, so I’m pumped it’s almost here.
I don’t know about you, though, but I never can get my act together early enough to pull together an awesome costume. I’m always running around at the last minute, either hitting every pop-up Halloween store I can find, or rummaging through Goodwill bins and vintage stores. One year, I did manage to throw together a pretty amazeballs Dolly Parton costume only two days before my costume party. I was pretty proud of that one. (In case you’re wondering how I achieved Dolly’s … ahem …. ample assets: I bought the largest bra I could find at Walmart, stuffed two sheer trouser socks with pillow stuffing, and used those to fill out the bra.)
But, most years, I usually end up buying a pre-packaged costume and hoping I don’t see another girl out and about wearing the same thing – and, let’s be honest, I’ll probably do the same exact thing again this year. But this year, I’m planning to make my costume a little more unique by getting creative with makeup. I’ve been scouring YouTube and Pinterest for some fun ideas, and I thought I’d share a few of my favorites with you … just in case you end up in the same boat as me!
There are some absolutely AMAZING makeup artists out there who produce incredible Halloween looks. But I can guarantee I’d never be able to replicate their work.
